Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Points Update:
Coming out of cancon we had a diverse and interesting metagame, with a variety of archetypes in the top 8, including a return to form of Thassa’s Oracle placing two copies into the top 8. We think the events over the past 3 months have shown that the format is very open, and the variety of new decks showing up at the top tables indicates a healthy and diverse metagame. There is one bogeyman remaining, that continues to overperform despite its low play rate, but more on that later.
With that in mind, this is otherwise a small update, with a few oft-discussed depointings that should encourage even more archetype exploration.
Changes
Bolas’ Citadel (+1 to 1)
Enlightened Tutor (-1 to 0)
Uro, Titan of Nature’s Wrath (-1 to 1)

Bolas’ Citadel (+1 to 1)
Storm continues its run as the most succesful deck in the format, despite its very low playrate. The combination of powerful fast draws, the ‘1 card combo’ of tinker for citadel, and the resilient plan that storm cards represent, with their ability to play through interaction continues to be difficult for players to adapt to.
While we believe that storm is notably weaker than it was before the last update, it’s still doing better than we’d like, and we want to allow the metagame to breathe without its pressure as one of the top decks.
While there are many angles to take to depower, Bolas’ Citadel presents a uniquely storm focused pointing. It is much better as a tinker target than any other alternative, and is frequently a game ending threat in its own right powered by a dark ritual. This should push the storm decks to choose between Lotus+Yawgmoth’s Will, and Tinker+Citadel, and allow for some variation in the decks, while bringing them down significantly in power.

Enlightened Tutor (-1 to 0)
An oft discussed card, Enlightened tutor has been at the top of cards to be discussed for depointing for many years, and each time it comes close, there’s been another reason to fear it. With a fairly heavy hit to storm in this update, and other potential homes not seeing a great deal of success, we think it’s finally time to let Enlightened tutor out to join its Personal and Worldly friends.

Uro, Titan of Nature’s Wrath (-1 to 1)
Uro is not what it once was. Highlander as a format is much faster than it was, and the format has adapted to the need to have graveyard interaction available for all sorts of decks. This is particularly true with cards like Emperor of Bones and Keen-Eyed Curator providing access to the effect while also being premier threats in the format.
Uro remains a powerful game ending threat, that stabilises you along the way, but decks have many more ways to deal with it, and are applying pressure earlier and faster than they were. We expect Uro to be a powerful option for decks looking to go long at 1 point, but not the only card that matters in games like it used to be,
