Highlander Events

Here is a list of our past 7 Point highlander events. Tournament organisers and community representatives have worked hard to collect and submit the Top 8 placings from their local highlander events. Typically collecting a digital deck list from each of their top players. If you want to show your event results and give a short description of your 7 point highlander event, you can submit a Tournament Report here.

VIC: Eternal Masters Highlander 2022 11/06/2022 | Deck Lists & Tournament Report

Eternal Masters Weekend 2022 Highlander Tournament report. The day had come for the Masters 2022 highlander event. Another chance to showcase a deck I’ve been working on since December 2021. After missing the opportunity to do so at the Highlander Nationals events. Scrubbing out and missing top 8 both events going 4-2.  The deck had been putting up solid results in weekly Melbourne events and I felt good going into the day knowing I have good matchups against Melbourne’s meta . My only worry being what spicey lists the interstater’s will bring to the table that will catch me off… Read More »VIC: Eternal Masters Highlander 2022 11/06/2022 | Deck Lists & Tournament Report

SA: Dragons Lair Salisbury Highlander 26/03/2022 | Deck Lists & Tournament Report by Beckett Wolfe

DLS once again hosted a great event with a lot of established players rocking up to hone their skills in a (relatively) new and (certainly) exciting post points announcement environment. I tried my hand at a Big Green Hoof deck, aptly titled: “Craterhoof Behemoth + 59 other cards” after testing it with Nick House and seeing how resilient and powerful it can be (based off his original ‘GW Ramp’ on Moxfield). The addition of Urza’s Saga has given the deck much needed searchable gas off the various Sylvan Scrying effects in the list. In particular Crop Rotation at instant speed… Read More »SA: Dragons Lair Salisbury Highlander 26/03/2022 | Deck Lists & Tournament Report by Beckett Wolfe

SA: GGA Highlander 500 (27/02/2022) Deck Lists & Tournament Report

By Daniel Stoney I have been playing Highlander on a ‘competitive’ level for a good 12 – 18 months now, testing with friends at least once a fortnight and trying to attend every local event I can. For any newer/less seasoned players out there, the Highlander community is truly awesome in sharing wisdom and advice on all things deck building, sideboard plans as well as lending expensive pieces of cardboard to help people with their decks. Background I would like to take the opportunity to give a huge shout out everyone I met at Cancon in Canberra this year. From… Read More »SA: GGA Highlander 500 (27/02/2022) Deck Lists & Tournament Report

QLD: Toowoomba 7-Point Highlander – Competitive REL 15/11/2021 | Deck Lists & Tournament Report

I’d been tuning my “Breya Bomber Breach” deck over the last few months and had come to a 75 that I felt really good about. The deck is an artifact based synergy deck with many combos with overlapping pieces. These include but aren’t limited to the “Slush Puppy” combo, bomberman combo, thopter/sword combo and a Karn the Great Creator package. The deck wins by assembling one of it’s combos or by beating down with artifact synergies and value. Although this list “dies to null rod” harder than other “Slush Puppy” decks; I think this deck’s ability to pivot game plans… Read More »QLD: Toowoomba 7-Point Highlander – Competitive REL 15/11/2021 | Deck Lists & Tournament Report
